Devised and Curated by Jason Sweeney, Gift/Back is a participatory live art and multi-media project that gives audiences an opportunity to provoke the artists by giving them the raw materials to create art.

The hybrid performance/live art ensemble Unreasonable Adults calls for submissions and generous offers from a wide range of young people everywhere in the form of ‘gifts’. These gifts can include text, sound, video, objects, wigs, clothes, websites, demands and tasks, as well as questions submitted online or in person. The artists are then charged with the responsibility of using and responding to  everything they receive.

They will re-use, recycle and re-invent every gift given to them. All gifts will be listed and archived on the company website for the whole world to see. Unreasonable Adults will host live art events where all the material made is performed, installed, blogged, amplified, streamed, screened, spoken, projected, untangled, unwrapped and remixed. This is their gift back to you – the audience.

PARTICIPATING ARTISTS: Caroline Daish, Kerrin Rowlands, Fiona Sprott, Jason Sweeney & Julie Vulcan
